Dear Parents

– I recd your hand letter last Evening and was verry glad to hear from you all. we are all well at present and hope these few lines will find you the same.

before we left Camp Chandler I sent you $10 dollars in a letter and since we got here I sent you $20 dollars and when you last wrote you did not say any thing about it – and I fear it is lost – but I hope not. write and let me know as soon as you get this.

Deter started for home this morning he got a furlow for (?) days. You know that is not long enough to pay for coming home. But as soon as Dicey comes we shall get one as long as we can. don’t forget to write soon I don’t see what is the reason we don’t get more letters for we write lots of letters. nyou must tell the folks to write write soon soon.
