Have the goodness to permit Malon Bray the Bearer hereof to locate 200 acres of land for me. The Warrant for the same Mr. Dixon Left at your office Which he was to Locate but did not. The Distance and season of the year makes it Difficult for me to come in person

Submitted by Lorine: I found this letter during my research at the Ontario Archives. This is part of my Peer family in Ontario who came from New Jersey in June 1796 to settle near Hamilton. John Peer arrived in Upper Canada (present day Ontario) in 1788.
