To: Almira (Peoples) McKean From: Effie (Peoples) Boyd (niece, daughter of Robert Peoples, Almira's brother)
March 4, 1915
Grove City, Ohio
Dear Aunt Miley:
We received your letter and was very glad to hear from you. We are all well and hope you are the same. We were very glad to get your picture and I will have mine taken some time this summer and send it to you.
We do not live where we did when you were here. That place was sold and mother had about 2000 dollars left to be divided between us two chilren. Cate Martino is about 77 years old. She lives in one room of her house and rents the other two rooms. She does her own work what little bit that is done.
Aden Martino has three children living; JohnMartion lives in Union County, Ohio. Nelson Martino has been married twice. He married Ida Engle for his first wife and she died leaving no family and his second wife was Sally Glascock and they have six children but they are parted now and he is in Union County and she is in Columbus.
Aunt Fanny and Uncle Josh Orders have been dead a good many years. They have two girls a living and the oldest girl Mary Ann is dead and three boys are living. Bill Duff has been dead for a good many years I don not know Mary Lee's address. Walter has been dead about three years. He died from sickness.
We are have it cold and wind here. the ground freezes every night. My hens are laying pretty well now I get about 3 dozen a day. I haven't thought about setting any yet. We keep about 200 hens. We got 22 cents for eggs last Friday and 27 cents for butter.
well guess this is all for this time. Write soon and let us know how you are.
Love from all.
Your niece Mrs Effie Boyd
